Lukis Technologies / Your information

Privacy notice.

How Lukis Technologies handles enquiries, BrewBase launch signups and website visits.

1. Who is responsible

Lukis Technologies Limited is responsible for the information described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 16009133. Our registered office is 15a Market Street, Altrincham, England, WA14 1QS, United Kingdom.

For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email hello@lukis.co.uk or write to our registered office.

BrewBase is currently prelaunch. This site provides product information, handles enquiries and accepts launch-update signups. It is not taking orders or payments.

2. Enquiries

When you contact us, we receive your email address, message and any name, phone number or other information you choose to provide. We use it to answer you and manage follow-up, relying on our legitimate interests in handling enquiries and running the business. If you ask us to take steps towards a contract, that may instead provide the relevant lawful basis.

You do not have to join our mailing list to contact us. We need a reply address to respond by email. Please avoid including sensitive information that we do not need to answer your question.

3. Launch emails

If you sign up, we use your email address and the subscription and consent information recorded by Shopify to send BrewBase launch news and product updates. Our basis is your consent. Sending an enquiry does not itself subscribe you.

You can object to direct marketing at any time. Unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or contact hello@lukis.co.uk. We will stop using your information for that purpose. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

We may keep the limited suppression and consent records needed to honour your choice and demonstrate compliance. Our retention approach is explained below. Shopify Messaging records delivery information and can record opens and link clicks to help us assess our emails. We use this information to understand delivery and engagement; where consent is required for tracking, that is separate from the delivery of an email. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time.

4. Website visits and cookies

Shopify hosts the site and provides reporting. Website operation and security can involve technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, pages visited and cookie choices. Necessary operational processing relies on our legitimate interests in providing and securing the website.

Use Cookie preferences in the footer to view or change your choices for personalisation, analytics and marketing. Website cookie choices and email-marketing permission are separate. Optional processing is subject to the relevant choices and applicable consent requirements.

Shopify Network Intelligence is enabled. Shopify describes its use of interactions with stores and its other services for purposes including service improvements, personalisation and advertising. See Shopify’s consumer privacy notice for its processing and privacy choices.

Cookies can support website operation and security, save preferences, measure visits and support personalisation or advertising. Session cookies expire when the session ends; persistent cookies remain until their set expiry or you remove them. Shopify publishes its cookie names, purposes and durations in its cookie policy. This describes the Shopify platform; not every listed cookie is used on this prelaunch site. You can also control stored cookies through your browser. Blocking required cookies can affect site functions.

5. Service providers

We use Shopify for website hosting, subscriber records, reporting and marketing-email delivery; Squarespace for forwarding messages to our public contact address; Google Gmail for handling enquiries; and SMTP2GO for sending replies from our public address.

PageFly and Easy Content Builder provide website extensions. Review and trust-badge integrations include Loox, Judge.me, TrustShop and Conversion Bear. Depending on the integration and settings, these services can receive technical visit or device information to deliver their features and reporting. Customer review information is not required to join the launch list.

Providers process information to perform their services and, where applicable, for purposes explained in their own notices. Shopify acts on our instructions for some services and as a controller for its Enhanced Services, including Network Intelligence. Information may also be shared where required by law or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

6. Processing outside the UK

Our providers may process information outside the UK. Shopify lists the European Union as this store’s primary hosting location, which does not mean all processing stays in the UK or EU.

International processing depends on the provider and service. Shopify describes its applicable contractual transfer safeguards, including the UK Addendum to standard contractual clauses, in its data processing terms. Google describes its use of adequacy arrangements, including the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and contractual safeguards in its transfer information. Email forwarding and delivery also involve Squarespace and SMTP2GO. Contact us for further information about the recipients and safeguards relevant to your information.

7. How long information is kept

We keep personal information only while it is needed for the purposes explained in this notice and review whether it is still necessary.

Routine enquiries: normally for up to 24 months after resolution where needed for follow-up. We remove information sooner if it is no longer needed. Relevant complaint or legal-claim records may be kept for longer where there is a specific, documented need.

Active subscribers: we keep the information needed to send the BrewBase updates requested while consent remains valid and the subscription continues to serve that purpose. There is no automatic expiry date for an active subscription, but we keep its continued validity under review.

Inactive subscribers: we review records after 24 months of inactivity, considering the original consent, relevant customer interactions and whether the mailing-list purpose still applies. Information no longer needed is removed; we do not keep inactive records indefinitely just in case.

Unsubscribe and consent records: we retain only what is necessary to honour preferences and demonstrate compliance, reviewing whether continued retention is needed. Unsubscribing stops further marketing.

Delivery, interaction and technical records are kept for the period needed for their operational, reporting, security or compliance purpose, taking account of the service’s settings and retention limits. We review continued need alongside the relevant enquiry or subscription. Cookie expiry differs from server-side record retention; see the Shopify cookie policy for its published cookie durations. Retention does not mean that information is erased automatically on a fixed anniversary.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where that is our basis. These rights have conditions and exceptions.

Contact hello@lukis.co.uk. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify your identity and understand the request.

9. Complaints and updates

Send a privacy complaint to our email or registered office. We will acknowledge data-protection complaints within 30 days, investigate without undue delay, keep you informed and explain the outcome.

You can also complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office.

We will update this notice when our use of information changes and show the revision date. We will update it when orders, payments or additional services change the information we handle.
